To me Black History is a history like any other History of each and every people who have suffered and struggled from injustice and horrendous cruelty. It is a time for us in the black community to look at our history and know our roots.
It is a time to look back and celebrate our wonderful heritage and people. I am happy that black history is now taught in schools. Growing up in the UK and attending schools here I noticed that the focus was on such periods of British history like the Second World War and the Tudors. Which was fun and exciting to know about but I believe every British child shouldn’t miss out on learning that this countries riches were built off the slave trade and centuries of colonialism.
My ideal society is where people work to help each other instead of oppressing one another. “
